Flea Market Fancy top ready to quilt

Well here it is!!!! I have my FMF quilt ready to go to the quilter later this week! I can't wait to have it in my hot little hands after it has been on the long arm....now....what to do, what to do?? How would you quilt it? I am thinking an all over feather stitch but am up for suggestions..... Here are a few of my favorite blocks.....

And here is the back!

We had 2 of our bedroom walls painted this past weekend, we had a DARK red/merlot color before....now we have this darkish robin egg blue....I l.o.v.e. it, love it, love it, love it!!!!! Did I mention I LOVE IT?

  1. Okay, it's scary to give advice and then have you go with your feather idea..... :) But it is YOUR quilt after all.

I was seeing lots of straight lines. I'm sure a long arm quilter would not love that idea, though. Maybe even jagged lines, like zig zaggy all over. I wonder with feathers if you would lose the graphic design of the squares which is the part I like with the stark white.

Hmmmm.....can't wait to see it all finished, either. LOVE the back!!

  2. That's beautiful! I have no vision when it comes to quilting, unfortunately [that's why my mom always does that part], but I'm sure that whatever you pick will be fantastic.

  3. I LOVE it! I was actually thinking the day that you should quilt it like DS quilts hers. Like this: http://www.dsquilts.com/

I think an overall design would be best (but I'm not sure what you mean by feathers.)

  5. OMG!!! I LOVE it!!! I don't have a suggestion on how to quilt it, honestly, it will look beautiful no matter how you quilt it! I like Leigh's idea about quilting it like DS does. I really love this, the back is great too!!!
