I'm making my dad a quilt for Father's Day, the top is finished so on to the batting and backing....my dad is THRIFTY/cheap/frugal...call it whatever you want but he never wants to pay full price for anything or pay for anything for that matter....
I have been on a sewing kick this last year and have made SEVERAL quilts and I have a lot of larger pieces of batting left over, so thinking of my thrifty father I took some of the scraps, sewed them together, used what I had...my dad will love the fact I did not spend any money on his batting and because some of the fabric in his quilt has chickens on it but that is for another post. It isn't pretty but it will do!!
I love this way of using up leftover batting! I can't wait to see the finished quilt. I'd love to swap with you too! Just let me know what you're interested in/what you'd want to swap...I'm looking forward to it!
