yipee!! I won something

Actually I think I won 8 things!!!! I am thrilled!! check it out! I am speechless and believe me that NEVER happens, yippee!!!!!! I had a few minutes to myself...started looking through some blogs and came across this...see the "Kristine Hanson"...that is ME!!! Now all I need to do is win the weekly drawing from Quilt Taffy!!! I have not won something from them in over a year, hint hint Des and Corrie! :) I don't know if you ladies know this or not but Quilt Taffy is how I got into the "blog world". I did not even know what a blog was until last summer when I bought some fabric off of ebay from these two sisters....with an order from them they send a cute little coaster with their blog address and the rest is history!

Today is Emily's first day of school...big 1st grader!!little brother getting in on the photo actionDaddy walking Em into school (mommy is the photographer) This is Emily's good buddy Bradley....they went to 2 years of pre-school together then we realized we lived in the same school district, went to kindergarten in the same class and again this year :)

August 25, 2003 ...I had a baby girl...we named her Emily Margit....she made me a momma....I love her to bits...I am her Kanga and she is my roo....

All over blogland there are pictures of peoples projects or stashes using the ever popular Flea Market Fancy by Denyse Schmidt. I would post a photo of a project but I have only cut into a few of these pieces and put in only a few little projects none of which I have kept! I have no idea what I am going to use this for...probably a big ol' quilt for ME! I just started collecting this line in January....not bad eh? ;)

gift for Nissa

I made this quilt for my girlfriend Nissa's birthday...I think she liked it! :) I am going to make another one for a girlfriend's birthday in March :) and then I need to make one for myself because this was a hard one to give away!!!! I have another set of friends....4 of them.....might need to make this for a Mother's Day gift for each of them this year...not sure if I will have the time, energy or $$ to whip out that many for Christmas....we will see!

So here is the top for my doll quilt swap partner....after I started sewing the blocks together I realized how this looks more like a table runner...I hope my partner likes it...this was my first attempt at a "wonky" log cabin too...they are kinda fun....

family photo's

These are all pictures taken of my family on Sunday....my older brother was home for his 20th High School Reunion (ACK!! that means mine is in two years!?!?!?) and we decided to have some family pictures taken for my parents 40th anniversary coming up in February...a little early but we never do anything on time so why not be early instead of late this time, ha!! These are just a few of A LOT of pictures to go through....we are all very excited too....another baby is on the way....we are really hoping BOY, BOY, BOY but will be thrilled with a girl too....
